To honor and recognize Wexner Heritage Village on the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary.

WHEREAS, in the life-affirming Jewish culture, Wexner Heritage Village enriches those it serves by providing quality health, housing, spiritual, and supportive services which meet the needs of an aging society; and
WHEREAS, Wexner Heritage Village is dedicated to providing a positive environment and a "life with dignity" for all who are served by its programs; and
WHEREAS, since its founding in 1951 as a three-resident Jewish senior home, the Village has expanded its services to meet the needs of the community, offering home care, short-term rehabilitation, independent and assisted living, memory-support assisted living, long-term and Alzheimer's care, hospice care, rent-subsidized senior housing, an on-site medical center, care for adults with developmental disabilities, and bereavement services; and
WHEREAS, on Thursday, June 2nd, Wexner Heritage Village will host a celebration of its sixtieth anniversary of service to the community, to be held at Wexner Heritage House at 6pm; and
WHEREAS, our entire community can be proud of Wexner Heritage Village's decades of success and service, and also confident that the Village's doors will be open to those in need for generations to come; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That we honor and recognize Wexner Heritage Village on the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary and express our sincere appreciation for its decades of service to our community.
