WHEREAS, Fortuna Bank, a newly established financial institution, celebrated its grand opening in Columbus, Ohio, on January 30, 2025, marking the culmination of years of planning and dedication to bringing a unique banking experience to the region; and,
WHEREAS, Fortuna Bank distinguishes itself as the first women-owned bank in the state of Ohio, representing a significant milestone for the financial landscape of Columbus and the entire state and showcasing the value of diversity and inclusivity within the banking sector; and,
WHEREAS, Fortuna Bank joins a small but growing number of twenty women-owned banks currently operating in the United States, emphasizing the vital role of such institutions in promoting economic empowerment and representation within the financial industry nationwide; and,
WHEREAS, Fortuna Bank was founded through the vision and dedication of a group of local businesswomen and community leaders in Central Ohio, who recognized a critical need for financial services specifically focused on supporting the growth of women entrepreneurs and traditionally underserved businesses in the area; and,
