Explanation
BACKGROUND:
This ordinance will authorize the assignment of all past, present and future contracts, agreements, purchase orders done by the City of Columbus with North American Communication Resource, Inc. (NACR) (Federal Identification #:41-1763228) to ConvergeOne (Federal Identification #:41-1763228), which is the parent company of NACR and is rebranding under a single name. This authorized change will reflect a company name change and federal identification change for all contracts and purchase orders established with North American Communication Resource, Inc. (NACR); and to authorize the Director of the Department of Technology to renew an agreement with ConvergeOne, Inc., formerly known as North American Communication Resource, Inc. (NACR), to provide annual maintenance and support services in support of the City’s interactive voice response (IVR) system. The IVR system supports the City’s 311, Utilities, and Technology Help Desk call centers. The original agreement with NACR (EL015526) was authorized by ordinance 0177-2014, passed March 31, 2014, and awarded through solicitation SA005214. That agreement included four options to renew for additional one year terms, by mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities. The first renewal was authorized by ordinance 0185-2015, passed February 23, 2015 (EL016808). This ordinance will authorize the second renewal option (year 3 of a 5 year contract) for the term May 1, 2016 to April 30, 2017. The annual maintenance and support cost will be $103,878.62.
EMERGENCY:
Emergency action is requested to expedite authorization of this contract in order to facilitate and maintain uninterrupted support and services from the suppliers.
FISCAL IMPACT:
In 2014 and 2015, the Department of Technology expended $112,342.51 and $115,236.33 respectively with ConvergeOne, Inc. (formerly known as North American Communications Resources - NACR) related to the City's interactive voice response (IVR) sys...
