Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Public Service Director to enter into a contract for a professional engineering services contract with Woolpert, Inc., for the Karl Road Improvement project in the amount of $488,050.00 for the Transportation Division. The project is located on Karl Road between State Route 161 to the south and Schrock Road to the north. The purpose of the project is to provide new roadway surfacing, new curbs, sidewalks, street lighting and storm drainage. The evaluation committee determined the top three ranked firms (Woolpert, Inc., Burgess and Niple Inc., and Baker & Associates) were qualified to complete this project. The Director of Public Service has determined that Woolpert, Inc., contract compliance number 20-1391406 (expires January 31, 2008) submitted the best overall proposal at a competitive price for this work.
