To honor and congratulate the Ohio Hispanic Coalition on their 8^th annual celebration of El Día de los Niños.

Body

WHEREAS,  El Día de los Niños is the celebration of Latino children as the center of the Latino family, reaching out to embrace children of all ethnic backgrounds; and

WHEREAS, Latino families and communities are committed to providing a safe environment with an emphasis on Latino children to know love, grow, learn, excel, and be happy; and

WHEREAS, El Día de los Niños is a day to bring together Latinos and other communities nationwide to celebrate and uplift Latino children and ensure they have a positive and productive future in all communities, and

WHEREAS, Columbus City Council is pleased to recognize and support the 8^th Annual celebration of El Día de los Niños in our community; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:  That we do hereby recognize El Día de los Niños on this 26th day of April 2008 and urge all members of our community to join in recognition of this significant occasion.
