To Honor and Celebrate the Life of Carla D. Fountaine and her Achievement of the Southeast Lions’ Lifetime Achievement Award

WHEREAS, Carla D. Fountaine, of Galloway, Ohio, was born on July 6th, 1981, to her parents Lavonda Fountaine and Robert Fountaine and passed away on July 26th 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Southeast Lions, a community organization dedicated to providing leadership and supporting the needs Southeast Columbus, is an indispensable civic institution in the city; and
WHEREAS, Carla was a tireless advocate for the Southeast Community, and served it with unmatched authenticity, rigor, and love, serving as a board member and membership chair for the Southeast Lions, helping revitalize the organization and lead it into the future; and
WHEREAS, this lifetime of service extended all facets of her life, serving in a wide variety of organizations, including All People Arts, the Classic for Columbus, the Parsons Area Merchants Association, the Rickenbacker Woods Foundation, Linden Advisory Council, Liden Leadership Academy and the One Liden Plan; and
WHEREAS, for leading a life dedicated to helping others, Carla has earned the Southeast Lions second annual Lifetime Achievement Award, a prestigious honor, only bestowed upon those in the community who have lived by service and stewardship; and
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus extends its sincere condolences to the friends and family of Carla D. Fountaine, including her brother, Robert Fountaine, niece, Dreya Imani Fountaine, the South East Lions, and countless other friends, extended family members, and loved ones across Columbus and beyond; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby honors and celebrates the life of Carla D. Fountaine and her achievement of the Southeast Lions’ Lifetime Achievement Award.
