WHEREAS, Mt. Vernon Avenue African Methodist Episcopal Church was established in Columbus Ohio in 1887; and

WHEREAS, through the years your God-centered faith has been a well spring of encouragement to the community. Your spiritual guidance will be a legacy that rests firmly on the foundation to preparing the future; and

WHEREAS, this loving congregation will be celebrating its 120^th Anniversary in service to God and humankind with a monumental Mortgage Burning Service led by Bishop Robert V. Webster; and

WHEREAS, the Anniversary Committee is to be commended for its commitment to this marvelous expression of love and faithfulness to their Zion; now, therefore
