To honor and recognize the twelve community organizations that have volunteered their time and energy to make Columbus' parks more enjoyable for all citizens.
 
Body
 
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus desires to provide residents, businesses and visitors with a beautiful and inviting urban landscape; and
 
      WHEREAS, the caring citizens of our community have demonstrated their civic pride by volunteering countless hours to plant and maintain flower gardens in public spaces downtown and around the city; and
      
WHEREAS, the efforts of these valued volunteers have contributed greatly in making the City of Columbus a most desirable place to live, work, visit and play; and
 
WHEREAS, the following organizations have stepped forward with countless volunteer hours to improve parks citywide:

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
That this Council does hereby recognize all of the volunteers for their hard work and commitment to enhancing the parks of the City of Columbus for the enjoyment of all residents.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be presented to a representative of each volunteer group as a token of our appreciation.
