Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to establish two (2) Universal Term Contracts (UTC) for the option to purchase Construction Castings with Neenah Foundry Company and Core & Main LP. The Division of Sewerage and Drainage is the primary user of Construction Castings. Construction Castings are used for sewer construction and repairs, and street repairs. The term of the proposed option contract would be approximately two (2) years, expiring May 31, 2027 with the option to renew for one (1) additional year. The Purchasing Office opened formal bids on January 30, 2025. In addition, the expenditure of $2.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO002726.
The Purchasing Office advertised and solicited competitive bids in accordance with the relevant provisions of Section 329 relating to competitive bidding (Request for Quotation No. RFQ029453). Three bids were received.
The Purchasing Office is recommending award to the overall lowest, responsive, responsible and best bidders as follows:
Neenah Foundry Company, CC# 007760 expired 4/22/022(pending), All Items, $1.00
Core & Main LP, CC# 000148 expires 1/24/2027. All items $1.00.
Total Estimated Annual Expenditure: $200,000.00, Division of Sewerage and Drainage, the primary user
Emergency Designation: The Finance and Management Department respectfully requests this legislation be considered an emergency ordinance to ensure that there is no interruption in the sewer installations and repairs, and street repairs.
This company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
