This ordinance is needed to accept and appropriate $30,000.00 in grant monies to fund this program for the period of January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

The Climate Change, Health and Equity Grant Program is designed to provide climate change education to faith communities in Columbus, Ohio. The goal of the project is to use climate change information to secure commitments from both faith institutions and congregation members to engage in climate change adaptation and mitigation actions.

FISCAL IMPACT: The program is funded primarily by the Public Health Institute and does not generate revenue or require a City match.
