Title: To amend the Management Compensation Plan, Ordinance No. 1150-2007, as amended, by enacting Section 5(E)-C070, the classification of Chief of Staff to the City Council President (U); by amending Section 5(D)-S013, the classification of Safety Program Manager; by amending Section 10(F), Personal Business Day; by amending Section 12(H), Vacation Leave for Certain City Officials; by amending Section 14(I), Sick Leave for Certain City Officials; by amending Section 16; and to declare an emergency.

Explanation

This ordinance amends the Management Compensation Plan, Ordinance 1150-2007, as amended, by:

Assigning a pay grade to the classification of Chief of Staff to the City Council President (U) and retitling the Safety Program Manager classification to Safety Manager in accordnace with recent Civil Service Commission action; and

Clarifying eligibility for Personal Business Day, Sick Leave and Vacation Accruals; and

Modifying the insurance benefits to include additional wellness coverage beginning January 1, 2012.

Emergency action is recommended in order to begin implementation.

Body

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by recommending a pay grade assignment to the recently created classification of Chief of Staff to the City Council President; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by reflecting a recent change to a classification title by the Civil Service Commission; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan to clarify eligibility for Personal Business Day; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan to clarify elgibility for Sick Leave and Vacation by Certain City Officials; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan to modify certain insurance provisions to include certain wellness benefits; and
