BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the transfer and expenditure of $100,000 within the General Fund for membership dues for various organizations of which the City is a member and a subscription service to Rotunda. The City maintains memberships with various national, state and regional organizations. This ordinance authorizes payments to the National League of Cities, the Ohio Municipal League, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the National Conference of Black Mayors, the National Black Caucus of Lcoal Elected Officals, the Government Finance Officers' Association, the Central Ohio Municipal Alliance and Rotunda. As a member of these organizations, the City of Columbus receives many benefits including seminars, publications, and access to a nationwide pool of municipal leaders who share similar challenges, concerns, and initiatives.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds were budgeted within the citywide account for this expense.
