Body

WHEREAS, the mission of the Columbus Historical Society is to educate people about Columbus history, preserve and display historical artifacts of Columbus history and install pride, love and respect for our city, its culture, its traditions and ways of life; and

WHEREAS, during the month of February, 2010, we celebrate the 198^th Birthday of the City of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, The Columbus Historical Society is hosting the official birthday party on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the historic T & OC Railroad Building on West Broad Street; and

WHEREAS, The Columbus Historical Society, its Board of Trustees and Members invite all citizens of Columbus to join them in this very special birthday celebration for our great City; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That this Council does hereby recognize and join in celebrating the official 198^th Birthday Party for the City of Columbus on Thursday, February 18, 2010 hosted by the Columbus Historical Society.
