Explanation

BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the appropriation of $730,160 in the Health Department Grants Fund for fiscal year 2010. This is the annual appropriation ordinance for Health Department Grants that allows for the continued operations of the various grant programs the Health Department provided in 2009. Additionally, this ordinance authorizes the transfer of $431,461.18 of appropriation authority within the Health Department Grants Fund to properly align object level one appropriation with Grantor approved budget revisions and projected expenses.
