BACKGROUND: Ordinance 1775-2019, passed July 15, 2019, authorized the Director of the Department of Development to transfer one parcel of real property held in the Land Bank and located at 1450 E Kenmore Rd. (010-060289) to Akin Awosika & Iroro Akpova, for the sum of $21,000.00 plus a $195.00 processing fee. We need to amend the Buyer’s name from Akin Awosika & Iroro Akpova to Akin Awosika & Oghenevwiroro Akpovwa.
Emergency action is requested so the transfer of the property can be made without further delay.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required by this legislation.

WHEREAS, on July 15, 2019, Columbus City Council passed Ordinance 1775-2019 authorizing the Director of the Department of Development to transfer one parcel of real property held in the Land Bank and located at 1450 E Kenmore Rd. (010-060289) to Akin Awosika & Iroro Akpova, for the sum of $21,000.00 plus a $195.00 processing fee. We need to amend the Buyer’s name from Akin Awosika & Iroro Akpova to Akin Awosika & Oghenevwiroro Akpovwa.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Buyer’s name from Akin Awosika & Iroro Akpova to Akin Awosika & Oghenevwiroro Akpovwa; and
WHEREAS, no funding is required for this amendment; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Development in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the amendment to Ordinance 1775-2019 so the transfer of the property can be made without further delay, all for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 1775-2019, passed July 15, 2019, is hereby amended to read as follows:
