Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to establish a Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to purchase PKS, Rotary and Lincoln Auto and Truck Lifts with Leswego Corporation, DBA Anglin Equipment. The Division of Fleet Management is the primary user for auto lifts. The installation of auto and truck lifts allow for City of Columbus personnel to elevate city owned vehicles for repair and service. Leswego Corp. is the sole source for these parts and services as they are the only local distributor and authorized service provider for these specific three (3) manufacturers. The term of the proposed option contract would be approximately three (3) years, expiring October 31, 2024, with the option to renew for one (1) additional year. In addition, the expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO001670.

Emergency Designation: The Finance and Management Department respectfully requests this legislation to be considered an emergency ordinance because it will prevent an uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
FISCAL IMPACT: The expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO001670.
