WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio is a local nonprofit organization that is devoted to expanding affordable housing options for vulnerable populations in the Central Ohio region, and
WHEREAS, on April 23, 2026, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio celebrated the groundbreaking of the Devon Triangle Multifamily Neighborhood Housing Development; and
WHEREAS, the groundbreaking commemorated Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio's first ever multifamily affordable homeownership development, marking a historic moment in the organization’s mission to expand access to affordable homeownership in the Central Ohio community; and
WHEREAS, the Devon Triangle Project will create 14 homes across four triplexes and one duplex in the City’s Near East Side; and
WHEREAS, the Devon Triangle Project offers a thoughtful and innovative approach to adding gentle housing density, while maintaining the character of the surrounding community; and
WHEREAS, this Council commends Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio for their commitment to addressing our growing region’s need for affordable housing; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby recognize the meaningful work of Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio and celebrate the historic groundbreaking of the Devon Triangle Multifamily Neighborhood Housing Development.
