To Recognize and Congratulate the USO Central and Southern Ohio on its 50th Anniversary.

WHEREAS, the United Service Organizations has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side; and
WHEREAS, the USO of Central and Southern Ohio maintains the connection between active military members and their families, home, and country during their time of service; and
WHEREAS, the USO of Central and Southern Ohio provides vital support and services to our returning and wounded military members as they adjust to new challenges; and
WHEREAS, the National USO gives support to families of those men and women that have given the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of freedom; and,
WHEREAS, for 50 years the USO of Central and Southern Ohio has been dedicated to lifting the spirits of those men and women who protect and serve our country; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does recognize and congratulate the USO of Central and Southern Ohio on its 50th anniversary, and thank them for their dedication to serving the men and women of the armed forces.
