Explanation
1. Background
The Pulte Homes of Ohio, LLC, by Matthew J. Callahan, Division Vice President of Land Acquisition, owner of the platted land, has submitted the plat titled “Sugar Farms Section 2” to the City Engineer’s Office for review and approval. This plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer. The following ordinance allows the City to accept said plat for property located for a subdivision of lots numbered 54 to 114, both inclusive.
2. Fiscal Impact
There is no fiscal impact to the City to accept the plat.
3. Emergency Justification
Emergency action is requested to allow development of this project to proceed as currently scheduled.

WHEREAS, the plat titled “Sugar Farms Section 2” (hereinafter “plat”) has been submitted to the City Engineer’s Office for approval and acceptance; and
WHEREAS, Pulte Homes of Ohio, LLC, by Matthew J. Callahan, Division Vice President of Land Acquisition, owner of the platted land, desires to dedicate to the public use all or such parts of the avenues and easements shown on said plat and not heretofore so dedicated; and
WHEREAS, after examination, it has been found to be in the best interest of the City to accept said plat; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Service in that said plat should be accepted immediately to allow new development in the area of Sugar Farms Section 2 to proceed as quickly as possible, to ensure the safety of the traveling public thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the plat titled “Sugar Farms Section 2” on file in the office of the City Engineer, Division of Design and Construction, be and the same is hereby accepted.
