This is consent legislation with the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Franklin County for a bridge reconstruction project which proposes to reconstruct the existing reinforced concrete bridge deck with a high performance composite concrete deck and reconstruct the backwalls with semi-integral abutments. Project limits extend on CR 171 (Innis Road) over Alum Creek. A portion of this project will be within the corporate limits of the City of Columbus. (FRA-CR171-1.52 PID 76490)
The consultant for the Preliminary Engineering of this project will be selected and funded by the Franklin County Engineer. Right of way will be funded by Franklin County and construction will be funded by Franklin County and MORPC.
Since this project lies within the City of Columbus, this consent ordinance is necessary. Construction of this project is scheduled for 2005.
Fiscal Impact: The estimated construction cost of the project is $1,100,000.00, which will be funded by MORPC and Franklin County. This legislation also authorizes the Public Service Director to enter into the necessary agreements to complete this project.
Emergency action is requested in order to meet Franklin County Engineer's schedule for this project.
