Background:
Bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on February 14, 2006, for the Mayme Moore Irrigation Replacement Project, as follows:

Project includes replacement of existing electrical system, installation of irrigation system, grading and seeding disturbed areas.

WHEREAS, bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on February 14, 2006, and the contract for the Mayme Moore Irrigation Replacement Project will be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary enter into contract so project can be completed prior to busy summer season; now, therefore

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
