Explanation

BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to enter into an agreement with the Clean Ohio Council to accept a $3 million Clean Ohio program grant for brownfield remediation at the former AC Humko site in the Harrison West neighborhood of Columbus. Approval to apply for the grant was given under Ordinance No. 0729-03, passed May 12, 2003. This ordinance will authorize the grant agreement and the appropriation of the grant funds.
