Explanation
1. BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Utilities is currently under contract with Crace Construction Company. Crace Construction Company has reorganized from a company into a trust and the new company name will be Crace Construction Company Liquidating Trust. Therefore, this Ordinance authorizes the assignment of all past, present and future business done by the City of Columbus with Crace Construction Company FID 31-0957857, to be reassigned as Crace Construction Company Liquidating Trust, FID 61-1607141, with an expiration date of 04/21/2013.
2. FISCAL IMPACT: No additional monies are required to modify the option contracts. Each agency must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.
The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
3. EMERGENCY DESIGNATION: In order to maintain uninterrupted service to City agencies contracted with this firm, this Ordinance is being submitted as an emergency.

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Utilities have established various contracts and agreements with Crace Construction Company; and
WHEREAS, Crace Construction Company has reorganized from a company into a trust and the new company name will be Crace Construction Company Liquidating Trust and in addition to notifying the City of this change, Crace Construction Company Liquidating Trust has agreed to honor the past, present and future contracts and agreements established; and
