To Welcome the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. to Columbus and to Celebrate Their 85th National Convention

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (NANBPWC, Inc.), founded in 1935, has for 90 years uplifted and empowered Black women through leadership development, community engagement, and professional excellence; and

WHEREAS, NANBPWC, Inc. has championed social justice, economic empowerment, education, and public service, consistently advocating for meaningful change and opportunity in communities across the nation; and

WHEREAS, the organization’s commitment to mentorship and youth development, particularly through its youth divisions and scholarship programs, has inspired generations of emerging leaders to pursue excellence and civic responsibility; and

WHEREAS, under the visionary leadership of National President and CEO Dr. Terri O. Ford, NANBPWC, Inc. continues to move forward, break barriers, and drive transformative change in alignment with its 2025 convention theme: “Celebrating 90 Years of Visionary Leadership: Moving Forward, Breaking Barriers, Driving Change”; and

WHEREAS, more than 300 professional women will convene in Columbus for the 85th National Convention, engaging in a rich program of professional development, cultural celebration, and collaborative planning for the future; and

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is honored to host this historic event and warmly welcomes NANBPWC, Inc. and its members, recognizing their vital contributions to American civic life and celebrating their enduring legacy of service and leadership; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby welcomes the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. to Columbus and to celebrates their 85th National Convention.
