Explanation

Background:
Contract EE008172, effective April 1, 2010 authorized the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk (hereinafter "Municipal Court Clerk") to enter into a three year contract with Time Warner Cable in the amount of $10,140.00, for 20 MB internet services.

Ordinance 1024-2010 approved by Council on July 19, 2010 authorized the Municipal Court Clerk to modify the original contract with Time Warner Cable in the amount of $8,445.00, to increase the bandwidth to 50 MB for more efficient internet services. The contract included an option to revise the internet service bandwidth.

This ordinance authorizes the Municipal Court Clerk to modify and increase the existing contract with Time Warner Cable in the amount of $836.83. The additional funds are needed to pay for the last month of the contract for the 50 MB internet upgrade.

Bid Information:
An informal bidding process was conducted through SO033521in accordance with Chapter 329, Columbus City Codes. Time Warner was the lowest bidder.

This company is not debarred according to the excluded party listing system of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State unresolved finding for recovery certified search.
