WHEREAS, the City of Columbus seeks to modernize its information management and technology governance framework to meet the needs of a growing city; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 1659-2025 authorized changes to Columbus City Codes: Chapter 151 (Records Commission), Chapter 153 (Information Technology Investment and Planning Committee), and Chapter 225 (Department of Technology) to modernize the City’s information management and technology governance framework; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance amends Chapter 225 to reestablish the Division of Information Services within the Department of Technology; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 225 of the Columbus City Codes is hereby amended as shown on the attachment hereto:

SECTION 2. That the existing provisions of Chapter 225 of the Columbus City Codes are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
