Explanation
BACKGROUND: Contract FL001066 was established pursuant to ordinance #268-02 establishing a contract for the purchase of Various Forms of Asphalt Concrete with Kokosing Materials, Inc., CC #31-0980603. Item #10 (per mile Delivery cost) was inadvertently omitted from the ordinance.
1. Amount of additional funds: The estimated annual expenditure for the contract is $150,000. No additional funds are required for this additional line item award.
2. Reason additional needs were not foreseen: Needs were foreseen by inclusion of this item in the original bid document.
3. Reason other procurement processes not used: Formal bid #SA000132BGB provided pricing for this item, no lower cost available.

FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to extend the option contracts. Each agency must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.
In order to provide uninterrupted service and supply, this ordinance is being submitted as an emergency.

To authorize and direct the Finance Director to modify the citywide contract for the option to purchase Various Forms of Asphalt Concrete, with Kokosing Materials, Inc., and to declare an emergency.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office advertised and solicited formal bids, and selected the lowest bids; and
WHEREAS, award of Item #10 (per mile Delivery cost) was inadvertently omitted from the ordinance; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Purchasing Office in that it is immediately necessary to modify FL001066 for an option to purchase Various Forms of Asphalt Concrete to award Item #10 thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
