Explanation
This is consent legislation with the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation (ODOT) for three bridge reconstruction projects. The first is Parsons Avenue over an I-71 ramp. This project will consist of milling and paving the bridge deck with asphalt concrete, deck patching, beam repair, and reconstruction of the backwalls. The second project is US40 over I-71 reconstruction of the barrier wall and vandal fence, backwall repair, and new curb ramps. The third is Eleventh Avenue over I-71 deck and approach reconstruction, painting the structural steel, seal the substructure, and curb ramps. Fiscal Impact: The estimated construction cost of the project is $1,000,000.00, which will be funded by ODOT. There is no cost to the City of Columbus for this project. This legislation also authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into the necessary agreements to complete this project.

The following is an Ordinance enacted by the City of Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the Local Public Agency (LPA), in the matter of the stated described project.
WHEREAS, the State of Ohio has identified the need for the described project:
This project proposes to perform bridge rehabilitation on the following structures:
FRA-IR71-17.02B (Parsons Avenue over I-71 ramp)
Mill and pave bridge deck with asphalt concrete; deck patching; beam reconstruction; and reconstruction of backwalls.
