WHEREAS, the Fleet Management Division has established contract EE006756 with Conam Inspections for fire ladder testing which expires on February 28, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Mistras Group, Inc. purchased Conam Inspections and the name and Federal ID number changed; and
WHEREAS, in order for the Finance and Management Department, Fleet Management Division to pay the new contractor at the time payment is due, it is necessary to assign all present and future business relating to purchase order EE06756 with Conam Inspection to Mistras Group, Inc., including the balance of $7,725.00 encumbered on said purchase order; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Finance and Management Department, Fleet Management Division, in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the Finance and Management Director to make such an assignment, so that payments are properly made for this contract, thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
