To honor and celebrate The Goodwill Columbus 2007 Extraordinary People Luncheon honoring Phil Urban and Grange Insurance.
Body
WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus seeks to break barriers and build futures for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. The organization serves nearly 1,000 individuals in central Ohio daily; and
WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus provides programs and services that give people the skills they need for a lifetime of success, a strong work ethic and solid self-esteem. The organization opens doors to achievement by removing barriers to employment and building personal independence; and
WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus offers individuals the opportunity to become more involved in their community, to live on their own with some assistance from staff while maintaining their own independence, and to learn daily living skills; and
WHEREAS, by providing 1.2 million hours of service each year to people with disabilities, Goodwill Columbus has helped those utilizing their services reach their full potential and live healthier more fulfilling lives; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby honor and celebrate The Goodwill Columbus 2007 Extraordinary People Luncheon honoring Phil Urban and Grange Insurance.
