Body

WHEREAS, Shiloh Baptist Church organized by 44 members in Columbus, Ohio on August 8^th, 1869 has remained a beacon of faith, leadership, and service, uplifting its congregation and community through the dedicated ministry of its pastors, including the late Dr. Otha Gilyard; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Kevin Dudley, a committed servant of God, has been called to serve as the 13^th pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, bringing with him a wealth of theological wisdom, community leadership, and a deep commitment to discipleship, worship, and spiritual growth; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Kevin Dudley has dedicated his ministry to strengthening relationships between the church and the community, emphasizing the importance of equipping believers for service, fostering discipleship, and ensuring that the ministry reflects both the presence of God and the needs of the people; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Kevin Dudley’s extensive background in ministry, education, and community development including his leadership roles at Trinity and Master’s Church Ministries, work with faith-based initiatives, and efforts to bridge theological knowledge with practical service will serve as a strong foundation for his leadership at Shiloh Baptist Church; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council proudly recognizes and joyfully welcomes Reverend Dr. Kevin Dudley as the 13^th pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, celebrating his installation on April 26^th, 2025.
