Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the following Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements listed below for the Department's Permit Section.
The parts and materials purchased from the contracts will be used to replenish parts and materials used for daily operating.
Industrial Parts and Equipment (Line #10)
Mainline Service & Repair Parts
Mainline Hydrant & Repair Parts
Mainline Couplings, Clamps and Various Parts
Water Meters
The companies are not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
FISCAL IMPACT: $280,000.00 is budgeted and needed for this purchase. This ordinance is contingent on the passage of the 2023 operating budget, Ordinance 2937-2022.
$200,309.00 was spent in 2021.
$245,241.04 was spent in 2020.
Title
To authorize the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the purchase of parts and materials for the Department's Permit Section; and to authorize the expenditure of $280,000.00 from the Water Operating Fund. WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office has established Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the purchase parts and materials; and
WHEREAS, the parts and materials purchased from the contracts will be used to replenish parts and materials used for daily operating; and
