To Celebrate Triedstone Baptist Church in Honor of its 90^th Anniversary

Body

WHEREAS, Triedstone Baptist Church, located at 858 E 3^rd Street, was founded in 1933; and

WHEREAS, the Triedstone campus has expanded to include the main sanctuary, a secondary chapel, and a recreational/community facility; and

WHEREAS, the church is led by Pastor Dale Tucker, a Columbus native, and Pastor Emeritus Jerome H. Ross, who oversaw the church for 50 years before retiring in 2016; and

WHEREAS, Triedstone and its members engage in a number of valuable community service projects, including a food pantry, summer youth academy, support services for low-income and economically disadvantaged community members, and a cancer support group; and

WHEREAS, the continued presence and growth of Triedstone has supported and enriched the Milo-Grogan community and created an invaluable cultural asset within the City of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, on April 23, 2023, Triedstone Baptist Church will hold an anniversary ceremony in celebration of 90 years of operation; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council celebrates Triedstone Baptist Church in Honor of its 90^th anniversary.
