Title
To honor and recognize Reverend Dr. Thomas E. Liggins for his contributions and leadership in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Body
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Thomas E. Liggins has done remarkable works throughout his lifetime in the name of Christ and his life has touched many through healing, salvation, and doctrine; and
WHEREAS, after 55 years of ministry he continues to work tirelessly to promote the gospel and be an example of Christian service; and
WHEREAS, on Saturday, August 26, 2006 Reverend Dr. Liggins' life and work will be celebrated as the Third Episcopal District gathers to give testament to this great man of faith.
WHEREAS, a man of this caliber and integrity is a precious gift and should be celebrated everyday; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and celebrate Reverend Dr. Thomas E. Liggins for 55 years of Christian service to the African American Episcopal Church.
