Background:
This ordinance will enable the Director of Recreation and Parks to apply for, accept a grant from, and enter into agreement with the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) in the amount of $35,000.00 and to appropriate these monies to the Recreation and Parks Private Grant Fund. The National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) received a grant from the Walmart Foundation which will support summer and before/after school food programs for children from low income families as part of USDA reimbursement programs.
