Explanation
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this legislation is to authorize the Director of the Department of Finance and Management to enter into a contract with Brennan Industrial Truck Co. for the purchase of a forklift and an additional fork for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage. The forklift will be used at the Compost Facility for lifting and moving parts, supplies and equipment.
This purchase has been approved by the Division of Fleet Management and will replace BT13448.
The Purchasing Office advertised and solicited competitive bids in accordance with the relevant provisions of City Code Chapter 329 relating to competitive bidding (RFQ024587). Forty six (46) vendors (1 EBE, 2 WBE, 43 MAJ) were solicited and two (2) majority bids were received and opened on April 27, 2023.
After a review of the bids, the Division of Sewerage and Drainage recommends the award be made for all items to Brennan Industrial Truck Co. as the lowest, responsive, responsible and best bidder.
The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
