Explanation
This ordinance authorizes the City Auditor to make an accounting adjustment to PO479487 with the Franklin County Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) to reduce the amount to $9,421,373.00.

On June 10, 2024, Ordinance 1443-2024 was passed, authorizing the City to enter into a $15,705,443.00 Grant Agreement (agreement) with the Franklin County Educational Service Center of Central Ohio to support the program goals of the Franklin County Digital Action Agenda. This reduction will lower the amount on purchase order PO479487 by $6,284,070.00. Thus, the encumbered amount will be $9,421,373.00. The remaining amount will be legislated at a later date.

FISCAL IMPACT
This revision will lower the amount on purchase order PO479487 to $9,421,373.00.

WHEREAS, on June 10, 2024, Ordinance 1443-2024 was passed, authorizing the City to enter into a grant agreement with the Franklin County Education Service Center of Central Ohio; and

WHEREAS, the total amount of the original agreement was $15,705,443.00; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Technology has a need to reduce the aforementioned total by $6,284,070.00 to a new total of $9,421,373.00; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the Department of Technology in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the City Auditor to revise an existing agreement with Franklin County Educational Service Center of Central Ohio so that funds in the amount of the reduction can be made available as soon as possible, for the immediate preservation of public health...
