WHEREAS, in 1978 Reverend Cleophus Kee received a Master of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio, and was awarded a certificate for Clinical Pastoral Education from Riverside Hospital; and
 
WHEREAS, Reverend Cleophus Kee is a member of Columbus Baptist Ministerial Alliance, Columbus Baptist Pastors Conference, member of their Evangelism Committee and the Simultaneous Revival Coordinator, and committee member at Trinity Lutheran Seminary for Nelson Trout Lectures in Preaching; and
 
WHEREAS, Greater Twelfth Baptist Church has been in the Linden neighborhood for 80 years, since its birth in 1922; and
 
WHEREAS, "Whosoever will, let him come" is Reverend Cleophus Kee's motto, his ministry is open to anyone who needs his service and is geared to the people; now therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
That this Council does hereby recognize and applaud Reverend Cleophus Kee for 37 years of faithful service to the Greater Twelfth Baptist Church congregation for being a shepherd and leader to both his congregation and the City of Columbus.
