Title
To honor and recognize the members of the Columbus Ice Hockey Club for their successful season.
Body
WHEREAS, The Columbus Ice Hockey Club, know as the Columbus Eagles, is made up of 20 players ranging in age from 12 to 17 years old, and
WHEREAS, the Columbus Eagles compete under the direction of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department at the Tuttle Recreation Center and are the official Diversity Taskforce Team for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and
WHEREAS, the Columbus Eagles were invited to travel to Detroit to compete at this year's Hockey in the Hood 2, National Hockey League Midwest Diversity Tournament for the Willie O'Ree Cup were they finished in second place; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That we applaud the Columbus Ice Hockey Club on their second place finish in the Hockey in the Hood 2, National Hockey League Midwest Diversity Tournament and for displaying good sportsmanship and teamwork while representing the City of Columbus in Detroit.
