Title: To authorize the Director of the Department of Development to execute those documents necessary to enter into a one (1) year lease agreement between the City of Columbus and Livingston Court Management LLC, for the lease of approximately 1,600 square feet of office space located at 3585 East Livingston Avenue and the contiguous parking spaces, as the proposed site of the City's "Neighborhood Pride Center"; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation

BACKGROUND: The City, ("Lessee"), desires to enter into a lease agreement with Livingston Court Management LLC, ("Lessor"), for the lease of approximately 1,600 square feet of office space located at 3585 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43227 and the contiguous parking spaces on the premises. The aforementioned building is the proposed site of the City's "Neighborhood Pride Center". The following legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to execute those documents necessary to enter into a one (1) year lease agreement between the aforementioned parties, with the City having the option to extend the lease for three (3) additional one year periods if so desired.

Emergency action is requested to allow the execution of this agreement to proceed, thus allowing the City to immediately carry out its "Neighborhood Pride Center" operations without delay.


FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required for this legislation.
