Title
To recognize Elder W.C. Cupe as a fierce servant and pillar of strength for the City of Columbus on Founder's Day-September 23, 2007.
Body
WHEREAS, Elder W.C. Cupe continues to work untiringly for the residents of the City of Columbus through his deeds in serving as Pastor Emeritus and founder of Greater Liberty Temple Church of God In Christ (COGIC); and
WHEREAS, Elder W.C. Cupe has provided the Columbus community with over 50 years of service and ministry, resulting in the spiritual growth of numerous citizens, particularly in the Linden Area; and
WHEREAS, Elder W.C. Cupe has shown his loyalty to the children of the City of Columbus by his leadership in founding W.C. Cupe Family of Schools, Royal Child Day Care Center, and the Cupe Learning Resource Center; and
WHEREAS, Elder W.C. Cupe exemplifies the high ideals of integrity, hard work, faithfulness, and fatherly love; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That September 23, 2007 is recognized as Elder W.C. Cupe Founder's Day in Columbus, Ohio, honoring his years of service to our great city.
