To Honor, Recognize, and Celebrate Earnestine Elois Cunningham on her 90th Birthday

WHEREAS, Earnestine Elois Cunningham was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 27th 1934 to the late Evelyn Cox and Wilson Barnes, and was married to Master Sgt. Huey C. Cunningham Sr. for 57 years until his passing in 2014; and
WHEREAS, Earnestine is a proud Mother to two children H. Calvin, Jr. and Linda Darlene, Grandmother to LaToya & LaTonya, Great Grandmother to Jaydan, Jhase, Layla, Zarah and Journey, Sister to Wilson Barnes Jr., Friend, Missionary and Minister of the gospel; and
WHEREAS, in 1969 Earnestine and her family was stationed in Columbus and purchased a home in Southfield where she currently resides; and
WHEREAS, she is known for telling stories of her amazing travels all over the world such as Jordan, Jerusalem, Paris France as well as her amazing baking skills; and
WHEREAS, Earnestine is a proud member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ and serves as the head adult Sunday school teacher; She is loved by many and has adopted many additional children and grandchildren over the years; and
WHEREAS, we celebrate Earnestine as a Proverbs 31 woman and are truly blessed that she is in good health at 90 years young; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby honor, recognize, and celebrate Earnestine Elois Cunningham on her 90th Birthday.
