Title
To recognize and congratulate Reverend Alphonso Guice, Jr. on his installation as Pastor of New Fellowship Baptist Church on Sunday, July 29, 2007.
Body
WHEREAS, Reverend Guice is currently attending Trinity Lutheran Seminary studying for his Master of Theological Studies (Th.M) and studied at Payne Theological Seminary for his Master of Divinity (M.Div), received his Bachelors of Science (Information Systems), from Wilberforce University and received his Associate of Science (Electronic Engineering), from Columbus State University, and
WHEREAS, Reverend Guice was the Associate Minister, Youth Pastor, Musician and Musical Director at Seventh Avenue Community Baptist Church prior to his appointment as Pastor of New Fellowship Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Guice is a member of Columbus Ministerial Alliance, Founder of the "Family for Christ" Ministries, Inc., and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and
WHEREAS, Reverend Guice is the recipient of numerous citations and awards, however, the most notable of all his accomplishments are the number of souls won to Christ; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Alphonso Guice, Jr. is married to Marla K. (Katie) Guice; father of Mecah and Franklin, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and congratulate Reverend Alphonso Guice, Jr. on his installation as Pastor of New Fellowship Baptist Church.
