Title

To declare July 23-24, 2005 Columbus International Triathlon and Sports Festival weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

Body

WHEREAS, in cooperation with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, Panera Bread, Fleet Feet Sports and BikeSource Multisport the Columbus International Triathlon and Sports Festival weekend will be held at Antrim Park July 23^rd and 24^th; and

WHEREAS, the event will bring a high level of athletic competition to Columbus including the Mideast Regional Under 23 and Junior Triathlon Championships, Mideast Region Aquathlon Championship, and Mideast Club Series Race; and

WHEREAS, the weekend events will include youth fun runs, open water swims, kayak races, Olympic distance triathlon & duathlon, sprint triathlon and a sports expo; and

WHEREAS, the Columbus International Triathlon and Sports Festival Weekend will donate a portion of every entry fee to the Children's Hospital Rehabilitation Clinic; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That July 23^rd and 24^th,, 2005 be recognized as  Columbus International Triathlon and Sports Festival weekend in Columbus, Ohio.
