Explanation

BACKGROUND:
The Department of Human Resources requests to contract with CTI Audit Solutions, Inc. from May 18th, 2026 through April 30th, 2029 for employee benefits auditing services. This contract will run through April 30th, 2029 with the option of two one-year renewals. In addition, the Department of Human Resources requests to expense $175,000.00 for this contract for the time frame May 18th, 2026 through April 30th, 2027.
In November of 2025, the Department of Human Resources went out to bid for employee benefits auditing services via RFP031724.
The RFP team interviewed 3 finalists. After careful consideration and evaluation, CTI Audit Solutions, Inc. was selected as being the lowest and best bid for employee benefits auditing services for the city.
The maximum obligation liability for employee benefits auditing services for May 18th, 2026 through April 30th, 2027 is $175,000.00.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is available in the 2026 Employee Benefits Fund for this contract.

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Columbus to enter into a contract with CTI Audit Solutions, Inc. to provide employee benefits auditing services from May 18th, 2026 through April 30th, 2029; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the expenditure of up to $175,000.00, or so much thereof as may be necessary to pay contract costs for employee benefits auditing services; and

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
