Title

To honor and congratulate the Ohio Hispanic Coalition on their 17th Anniversary Celebration, "Celebrando el Sabor Latino, Celebrating the Latino Flavor."

Body

WHEREAS, the Ohio Hispanic Coalition was founded in 1990 as an advocacy agency; today it has grown into a multi-service agency serving the growing Latino/Hispanic community in Ohio; and

WHEREAS, OHCO provides programs such as Promotoras de Salud to ensure pregnant Latino women and their children have access to quality health services; and

WHEREAS, OHCO establishes services to help a population that faces cultural and language barriers through programs such as interpreter services, youth and education programs, and cultural awareness programs; and

WHEREAS, OHCO is committed to creating collaborative partnerships in order to promote general awareness, including social, educational and economic advancement of Ohio's Latino population; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That this Council does hereby congratulate the Ohio Hispanic Coalition on their 17^th Anniversary Celebration and we encourage the community to learn more about the various cultures and contributions of our Hispanic residents.
