Explanation
BACKGROUND: Fifth Third Bank has changed the name of its credit card processing operations to "Fifth Third Processing Solutions". The City Treasurer has various contacts with Fifth Third Bank for credit card processing services.
The City Treasurer request that the contracts between Fifth Third Bank for credit card processing services be modified to change the vendor name to "Fifth Third Processing Solutions", and Federal Identification number to "31-0740333".
Passage of this legislation will provide only for a name change (Fifth Third Processing Solutions) and new Federal Identification Number (31-0740333). All other terms of the contracts shall remain the same.

Title
To authorize the City Treasurer to modify various contracts for credit card processing with Fifth Third Bank for the provision of a name change and new Federal Identification number and to declare an emergency.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has entered into various contracts with Fifth Third Bank and its credit card processing agent, Midwest Payments Systems, for the provision of credit card processing services for various city departments; and
WHEREAS, Fifth Third Bank has changed the name of its credit card processing operations to "Fifth Third Processing Solutions"; and
WHEREAS, Fifth Third Processing Solutions' Federal Identification number is "31-0740333"; and
WHEREAS, as an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the City of Columbus, and it is immediately necessary to modify the contracts between the City of Columbus and Fifth Third Bank to continue the collections of revenues received through credit card processing, now therefore;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That the City Treasurer is authorized to modify the contracts between the City of Columbus and Fifth Third Bank to change the vendor name to "Fifth Third Processing Solutions".
