Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to establish a Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to purchase Vactor OEM Parts with Jack Doheny Companies, Inc. The Division of Fleet Management is the primary user for Vactor OEM Parts. Vactor OEM Parts are used to repair and maintain City sewer cleaning truck equipment. Jack Doheny Companies, Inc. is the sole source for these parts as they are the only local distributor for this specific manufacturer. Pricing was obtained by published price list. The term of the proposed option contract would be approximately two (2) years, expiring June 30, 2027, with the option to renew for one (1) additional year. In addition, the expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO002726.
