Explanation
Background:
This ordinance will authorize the Director of Recreation and Parks to enter into a contract with CTL Engineering for professional services in conjunction with Roof Renovations at various Facilities Project in the amount of $57,750.00.
Statements of Qualifications were received on June 6th, 2003, from seven firms and three firms were interviewed. Firms interviewed included CTL Engineering (MBR), ES Architechts (Majority), and HKI Associates (MBE). CTL Engineering Inc., 2860 Fisher Rd, Columbus, Ohio, 43204, was selected for this project for various reasons including experience, location, availability, and familiarity and expertise with roofing systems. The contract will be awarded to CTL Engineering in accordance with the provisions of Section 329.12 of the Columbus City Codes.
The Contract Compliance Number for CTL Engineering is #31-0680767
Emergency action is necessary to allow CTL Engineering to begin initial stages of project design to meet time schedule. Several roofs are currently leaking and causing various water damage.
Fiscal Impact:
$57,750.00 is required and budgeted in the Voted 1995 and 1999 Parks and Recreation Bond Fund to meet the financial obligation of this professional services contract.
