Explanation
This ordinance authorizes an amendment to Sections 1 and 4 of Ordinance 0873-2023 to change the vendor that is performing the contract.
The original vendor will be a subcontractor of the new vendor Carashoft Technology Corp. in order to leverage an existing contract with OMNIA partners who is a governmental contract aggregator.
Emergency action is requested as it is immediately necessary to change the name of the vendor to not delay the contract performance any further.
FISCAL IMPACT: No additional funding is required. Funds for this agreement have been appropriated within the Health Operating Fund.

To amend Ordinance 0873-2023 to change the vendor that is performing the contract from Aclima, Inc. to Carahsoft Technology Corp.; and to declare an emergency.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance 0873-2023, passed May 22, 2023, authorized the Board of Health to enter into a contract with Aclima, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Aclima has requested that the contract be made with Carahsoft Technology Corp. in order to leverage an existing contract with OMNIA partners who is a governmental contract aggregator; and
WHEREAS, Carahsoft Technology Corp. will be the new vendor; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Board of Health in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the amendment of the ordinance so that contract performance is not delayed any further; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Sections 1 and 4 of Ordinance 0873-2023 are hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Health is authorized to enter into a contract in an amount not to exceed $189,000.00 for hyperlocal data collection and air quality analysis with Aclima, IncCarahsoft Technology Corp.
SECTION 4. That this Council finds it in the best interests of the City to waive the competitive bidding provisions of City Code Chapter 329 to enter into a contract with AclimaCarahsoft Technology.
